Use AI to help you draft it
Putting years of your life into words is hard. You can paste this prompt into an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT. It will interview you and help you organize your story in your own voice. Read every word before you send it to us, and fix anything that isn't exactly what happened.
I want to share my story with the Cordova 2028 campaign about how a government system or institution hurt me or my family. Help me organize it, but keep it in my own voice and do not add anything I did not tell you. Ask me questions one at a time, until you have: 1. What happened, in order, with approximate dates. 2. Who was involved, by role (caseworker, judge, insurer, landlord, agency), and what each one did. 3. Where it happened (state, county, city) and which agency, court, or company. 4. What it cost me or my family: money, time, health, relationships, freedom. 5. Who gained from it, and how. Money, a bonus, a quota, a fee, a deadline met, or a number on a report. 6. What documents I have (emails, texts, court papers, letters, bills) and what each one shows. 7. What I think should change so this never happens to anyone else. Then write it as a first-person story. Mark anything I'm unsure about with [unsure]. Don't invent quotes, numbers, or laws. If you mention a law or a dollar figure, tell me where to check it.
