A Fair Start for America’s Future: Breaking Barriers for Students and Adults
What If Your Future Didn’t Depend on a Corporate Credit Score?
Imagine turning 18, full of dreams and determination, only to find that the world’s doors are locked.
- You want to rent an apartment? No credit history. Denied.
- You need a car to get to school or work? High-interest loans. Crushed.
- You’re returning to school as an adult? Mountains of past debt weigh you down.
This is the reality for millions of Americans—young adults starting their lives and returning adults working hard for a second chance. Their future is decided not by their dreams or hard work, but by an unfair system that profits off their struggles.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
The Problem: Barriers That Hold Us Back
For decades, we’ve allowed corporations to control access to opportunity through:
- Credit scores that punish young adults for being new to life.
- Predatory loans that trap students in debt cycles they can’t escape.
- High rents and housing deposits that push people into unsafe living conditions.
Instead of helping students succeed, we set them up to fail—forcing them to carry the weight of debt, stress, and broken systems.
It’s time for a change.
The Solution: Tools, Not Barriers
I believe every young adult and returning adult deserves a fair start in life. That’s why I’m introducing a comprehensive plan to break these barriers and give students the tools to thrive:
1. Interest-Free Loans for Essentials
- Car loans to ensure reliable transportation for school or work.
- Housing assistance to rent safe, affordable apartments.
- Funds for books, technology, and living essentials beyond tuition.
Jessica’s Story :
At 18, Jessica dreams of attending college but lives 20 miles from campus. She can’t get a car loan because she has no credit. Under this plan, Jessica can get an interest-free loan , buy a reliable car, and focus on her studies without financial fear.
2. Federal Student Resource Fund
- A government-backed program to provide low/no-interest financing for housing, transportation, and utilities.
- Removes the need for credit scores, replacing them with a fair system that supports students’ real needs.
David’s Story :
David, a single father, is going back to school to finish his degree. The Student Resource Fund helps him secure affordable housing for himself and his daughter, giving him peace of mind while he builds a brighter future.
3. Financial Literacy Education
- A mandatory financial literacy program to teach students how to manage money, avoid predatory debt, and build a strong financial foundation.
Why It Matters :
Young adults don’t fail because they’re irresponsible—they fail because no one teaches them how to succeed financially. This program gives them the tools to build wealth and independence.
4. Removing Corporate Dependency on Credit Scores
- A parallel credit system backed by the government allows students to build credit responsibly without relying on private corporations.
- Rent, utility payments, and loan repayments count toward a fair credit history.
How We’ll Pay for It
We can make this happen without raising taxes on hardworking Americans by recovering $300–400 billion annually through:
- Closing Corporate and Private Equity Loopholes – $150–200 Billion
- U.S. corporations avoid billions annually through tax loopholes (source: ITEP ).
- Charging Royalties and Taxes on Foreign Corporations – $50–100 Billion
- Fair royalties on U.S. resource extraction by foreign corporations (source: GAO Report, 2022 ).
- Stopping Offshore Tax Havens – $100 Billion
- Corporations shifting profits offshore cost taxpayers billions (source: Tax Justice Network ).
Where the Funds Go
Allocation:
Social Security Stabilization 70% (After we solve the most pressing issues such as the Homeless Crisis, etc.)
Fair Start Initiative (Students) 30%
- 70% will ensure Social Security remains strong and stable for today’s seniors and future generations.
- 30% will fund the Fair Start Initiative , providing interest-free support, affordable housing, and financial education for students and adults.
Why This Matters
We are investing in our future :
- Students will graduate without crushing debt.
- Returning adults will have the support they need to succeed.
- Families will thrive, communities will grow, and our economy will strengthen.
This isn’t a handout. It’s a hand up —an opportunity for every American to reach their full potential without barriers holding them back.
It Starts Now
This is more than a plan—it’s a promise:
- To our young adults, you are not alone .
- To adults returning to school, your second chance is within reach .
- To America, we can and will do better for our people.
By holding corporations accountable, closing offshore loopholes, and charging fair royalties on our resources, we are building a stronger, fairer America.
