By Vincent Cordova
I, Vincent Cordova, affirm my unwavering support for Gaza’s right to full sovereignty and internationally recognized statehood. The Palestinian people have the right to live free from occupation, blockade, displacement, and military assault. These are not privileges to be granted or withdrawn by any foreign power — they are inherent human rights recognized under international law, including the United Nations Charter and the Geneva Conventions.
I do not support the government of Israel, nor do I consider it a legitimate government in its current form. It is engaged in an occupation that has systematically dispossessed the Palestinian people of their land, deprived them of self-determination, and subjected them to continuous military aggression. These acts meet multiple definitions of war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and — in the ongoing campaign in Gaza — genocide.
My opposition is not rooted in hatred toward Israeli citizens. I recognize that decades of systemic indoctrination, state-controlled narratives, and fear-based propaganda have shaped public perception within Israel. My stance is against the policies, military strategies, and corporate-political alliances that perpetuate this cycle of violence — not against the individuals trapped within it.
I reject and condemn any U.S. government official who holds dual citizenship and displays any flag other than the United States flag while in Congress. Members of Congress are entrusted to serve this nation and its people exclusively, yet they have repeatedly demonstrated allegiance not to the American public, but to the corporate donors and political lobbyists who fund and secure their seats. This pattern of loyalty to foreign interests and corporate entities undermines the very foundation of representative democracy.
I support the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu and call for the arrest of Isaac Herzog for their roles in conducting and overseeing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people. The scale of civilian deaths, the destruction of essential infrastructure, the targeted killing of journalists, doctors, and aid workers, and the use of starvation and blockade as tools of war are not accidents of conflict — they are deliberate strategies.
The United States government, through its funding, weapons transfers, and diplomatic shielding of Israel from accountability, is directly complicit in these crimes. The same Congress that claims to represent the American people has refused to enforce meaningful checks, human rights conditions, or even the most basic limitations on U.S. military aid to Israel. This is not foreign policy guided by morality — it is foreign policy guided by corporate capture, where defense contractors, private equity interests, and powerful lobbying groups profit from endless war.
I do not consider Donald Trump a legitimate representative for the progress of the American people. His record demonstrates loyalty to systems of corporate capture designed to consolidate power, privatize public resources, and colonize the American people for the next phase of economic and political control. His rhetoric on sovereignty is hollow, serving corporate interests rather than the principles of self-determination for peoples at home or abroad.
My position is clear: I stand for the liberation of oppressed peoples everywhere, the dismantling of systems of corporate capture, and the restoration of government by and for the people. I reject being complicit, through silence or taxation, in any action that violates international law and human rights. History will remember where we stood — and I choose to stand with justice, sovereignty, and human dignity.
