Designed Against Us

A System at War With Our Own Purpose

Every living thing on this planet carries the same instruction in its blood: live, grow, and make room for the next generation to live and grow further.

A forest doesn't ration sunlight to its own saplings to watch them wither.

A herd doesn't lock its young out of the water.

Wolves don't let half the pack starve while the other half hoards the kill.

Life, everywhere, organizes itself to keep life going.

So I have to ask a question most politicians won't:

What is the purpose of a system that does the opposite?

Our Purpose as a Species

Before we can judge a system, we have to understand what it's supposed to serve.

Our purpose is not to accumulate. It is not to dominate. It is to evolve: to build environments where every person, and every species we share this Earth with, gets the gift of life and the chance to become more than it was.

That's the measure. Anything that inhibits, extracts, steals, limits, or prevents our species from growing works against our essence and against the creation we were given.

By that measure, our current system fails. Not by accident. By design.

We Were Taught to See Each Other Wrong

Most of us were raised to see ourselves through labels: our race, what we earn, where we live, what title we carry. We learned to measure each other by those lines before we learned anything else about each other.

But no label changes what we are. Strip away the color, the bank account, the zip code, and every one of us is the same living thing.

RacePaycheckZip codeTitle

One species.

The same blood. The same need for food and shelter and love. The same instinct to protect our children.

Those divisions weren't handed down by nature. Nature doesn't recognize them. They were built, and they serve a purpose. A species divided by race argues over scraps instead of asking who took the meal. A species divided by wealth looks down at the person below instead of up at what's pressing on everyone. A species divided by status competes with itself while the system extracts from all of it.

Every line that separates us makes the design easier to run.

So the first step isn't policy. It's recognition. The worker you were taught to resent, the neighbor you were taught to fear, the stranger you were taught to rank: each is a piece of you. When one of us is held back, all of us are held back. When one child is lost, our species is smaller.

We don't have to agree on everything. We only have to remember what we are.

Zoom Out and Look at the Design

When you zoom out, the pattern is impossible to miss. Every structure we live under seems built to pull value away from the people who create it and leave them with the bare minimum:

  1. 1

Wages that cannot support a life, let alone a family.

  2. 2

Food engineered for shelf life and profit, not for the bodies that eat it.

  3. 3

Housing, healthcare & education turned into toll booths between people and survival.

  4. 4

Prisons run for profit where human beings become revenue.

  5. 5

Corporate personhood, shell companies & lobbyists that override the citizens who are supposed to direct this country.

Ask yourself

If a foreign adversary sat down to design a system that would slowly hollow out the United States from the inside, what would it look like?

It would look like this.

It wouldn't need a single bomb. It would just let a nation's own laws drain its people (exhausted workers, sick children, families one paycheck from the street) and then sit back and watch. The old warning that America will fall on its own isn't a prophecy. It's a description of the design.

I'm not saying a foreign power wrote our tax code. I'm saying we have built, with our own hands, the exact system our worst enemy would have wished on us. And that should terrify every American more than any outside threat.

Our Hands on the Weapon

Here is the part that should keep every one of us up at night.

165–180

7–12

the ages of most of the girls who died

On February 28, 2026, a girls' elementary school in Minab, Iran was destroyed in the opening wave of strikes. Between 165 and 180 people were killed, mostly girls between the ages of 7 and 12. According to Reuters, a U.S. investigation pointed to American forces as likely responsible, though it had not reached a final conclusion.

Children. At their desks.
Paid for with our tax dollars.

"You shall not kill" is not a suggestion. And a system that takes every citizen's labor, converts it into weapons, and fires them at children has made every one of us a participant, without our consent, without our voice, while lobbyists and private interests steer the decisions.

That's what makes the design so cruel. It doesn't just harm us. It makes us complicit in harming others, and then tells us we have no say.

Those girls were not "Iranian" first. They were children of our species. The same labels that divide us at home are the ones that make it possible to kill them abroad.

What would you do if another country killed your child?

That's the question every parent in Minab is living with. Hold your answer. Then remember that this is what's being done in our name.

The Children Are Telling Us

You don't need a think tank to tell you whether a system works. Look at the children.

CDC, Youth Risk Behavior Survey

One in five young people, before their lives have barely begun, has looked at the world we built for them and wondered whether it's worth staying in.

That is not a mental health statistic. That is a verdict on us.

Millions of adults are numbing themselves just to get through the week. People are drugging themselves to survive a system that was never built for their survival. And everyone, in their gut, knows why.

What No Other Species Has Done

Capitalism without limits, privatization of what we need to live, extraction from the people who do the work, exclusion of anyone deemed unprofitable: these are not neutral economic choices. They are slow-motion violence against our own existence.

No other species on Earth writes policies to hold back its own kind. No other species throws its own members in cages for profit, poisons its own food supply, or watches its own young suffer and calls it the market.

Only us. And the worst part? We know it.

We see it every day, and we've been taught to call it normal.

Remember What We Are

The system we live under runs against everything life is built to do. But a design is not destiny. What was designed can be redesigned, and it starts with how we see each other.

Before you see a race, see a person of your species. Before you see a paycheck, see a life that needs the same things yours does. Before you see a status, see someone who was born with the same purpose you were: to live, to grow, and to make room for others to do the same.

When enough of us see each other that way, the divisions stop working. And when the divisions stop working, the design stops working.

Then we rebuild, together

A system that makes room for life

  • ✓Essential needs (food, water, housing, health, energy) held as public trust, not private extraction.
  • ✓Wages tied to the cost of actually living.
  • ✓A government answerable to citizens, not corporations, shell companies, or lobbyists.
  • ✓No profit from caging human beings.
  • ✓No more spending our labor on the deaths of other people's children.

We can build a country that does what every forest, every herd, and every living system already knows how to do: make room for life.

I am a piece of the collective essence of this world that never gives up and needs every other piece to be whole.

So are you. So is the person you were taught to see as different.
