Domestic Violence is not always physical, it can be emotional and it does not always have to be from your partner as it can be from family, friends, employer, businesses

Domestic Violence does not discriminate and even those in leadership positions deal with some form of DV also. Money and positions are not exempt from it. With that said, yesterday I decided to react differently to a situation that would have be easily described as emotional Domestic Violence. I thought about someone else being in the same situation and what would be their options.

II called F.I.S.H. services in Elko yesterday after being locked out of the house from displaced anger. One of my family members is going through a tough breakup and decided would be the one to feel it. Normally I understand and I don't let it bother me but I decided to see what life would bring me.

I called F.I.S.H. Emergency Services and let them know of the current situation and I was told that I would be called back after giving her my personal information. I let her know that my phone only had a few percent of battery and it died before I was able to receive her phone call back. By the time I was able to get back into the house the automated phone system would not connect me to the house. So I slept outside on a park bench with the weather being around 38 degrees.
